This watch is a modern tribute to the watch worn by astronaut Walter “Wally” Schirra aboard the Mercury-Atlas 8 mission in 1962, making it the first Omega ever worn in space. This 39.7 mm stainless steel chronograph recaptures the historic 2nd-generation Speedmaster styling, the watch radiates a nostalgic yet refined character.Its solid caseback is engraved with “THE FIRST 0MEGA IN SPACE” and “OCTOBER 3, 1962,” surrounding the classic Seahorse medallion,a fitting homage to its heritage.

This watch is in overall great pre-owned condition, with only a few marks throughout the high polish parts of the case/bracelet. See photos for full details.
