Clark Fyans

Creative producer and mountain local with a keen sense for adventure, dialed safety, with a camera always in hand.

Clark Fyans began his journey in the mountains of Utah, where a love for snow and high-altitude adventure took root early. Pursuing a career in mountain safety and guiding, he moved to Alaska quickly becoming the Lead Guide/ Heli Operations Manager for Chugach Powder Guides. He lead high-altitude expeditions on 7-summit circuit across the world, including 19 trips to high summits such as Denali, Vinson Massif, Aconcagua, and Carstenz Pyramid. He earned accolades such as the 2005 Denali Pro Mountaineer of the Year and was known for his first ski descents and technical expertise in avalanche safety, mountain rescue, and expedition leadership.

Clark transitioned from guiding into the film and media world, leveraging his deep mountain knowledge and logistical skills. His role at Red Bull Media House as Supervising Producer, he played a key role in producing over 10 groundbreaking films such as The Art of FLIGHT, The Alpinist (Emmy and Critics Choice winner), and Distance Between Dreams. His ability to manage complex operations in remote and extreme conditions made him a trusted leader in high-stakes productions, blending technical skill with creative vision in collaboration with top athletes and global brands.

In addition to his film career, Clark is a published photographer, recognized in Red Bull Illume competitions, and continues to exhibit his work in galleries nationwide. A passionate advocate for sustainability, he has designed and built off-the-grid solar-powered homes in remote areas, reflecting his commitment to innovation and self-reliance. With extensive global travel and deep ties to creative communities, Clark remains at the forefront of adventure filmmaking, known for his uniquely diverse skill set and relentless drive.

What’s your #1 travel destination, and what watch are you bringing?

Anywhere with empty waves or untracked powder! I’ve been a Rolex fan since I was single digits. You’ll find me with a Rolex Oyster sports model like the Sea-Dweller or Explorer II on my wrist.

What’s your go-to snack on a road trip?

It might seem strange, but I was always the guy to pull out a fresh cut watermelon or mango at the top of a mountain while backcountry skiing. Fresh fruit is always my go to.

What’s one thing you always pack that has nothing to do with your work?

Music is one of the most important things in my life and I have played guitar since I was 8 years old. I always try to take a guitar as much as possible. Maybe one day it will be my work. :)
