Colin Rex
Photographer whose work is shaped by wild landscapes and remote expeditions, Colin brings the visual identity of RMW to life around the world.
Colin’s career has been shaped by natural landscapes, far-flung adventure, and a deep love for wild spaces. His bold, elegant images capture serenity in the most desolate environments, where he works largely with negative space to demonstrate the starkness of the landscapes he visits and document man’s humble place within nature. Colin’s contributions have provided a foundation for commercial projects ranging from product launches and brand campaigns to environmental awareness exhibits for NGOs such as Rainforest Alliance and The Climate Museum.
Colin also serves as the Creative Director for Rocky Mountain Watches, and his work can be seen and felt throughout interactions with our work. Photo expeditions with watches from RMW include locations from around the world, such as St. Lucia, Iceland, Alaska, Bolivia, New Zealand, and more.
He also helped start a bike company: VOID
What’s your #1 travel destination, and what watch are you bringing?
Send me back to Alaska with the Omega Speedmaster Alaska Project! We’ll put together a remote expedition to explore some uninhabited Aleutian Islands by seaplane.
What’s your go-to snack on a road trip?
Let’s go with a California burrito and a giant horchata from a hole-in-the-wall taco shop in a place I’m visiting for the first time.
What’s one thing you always pack that has nothing to do with your work?
Nothing!! Fast and light, only the essentials!
