The Modello Due Toolwatch ref. UT2-NST is a Made in Italy quartz field watch featuring a sandblasted 316L stainless steel case with a fixed monoblock bezel, a matte black dial, and the Natural Selection logo in cool grey. Super-LumiNova® GL C1 markers, a matte white closed second rail, and cool grey dial trims define its highly functional, stripped-back aesthetic. Time is indicated via matte black ladder phantom hour and minute hands, paired with a reverse lollipop seconds hand with an international orange tip, all protected by a 2.7mm thick double-domed sapphire crystal with inner-side anti-reflective coating for optimal legibility in every condition.


Built for performance, the watch is powered by a VH31A quartz caliber with a sweeping second hand, 2 jewels, ±15 seconds per month accuracy, and an approximate power reserve of 2 years, supplied by a Seizaiken SR920SW battery. Designed to withstand the rigors of an active lifestyle, the movement is shielded by UNIMATIC’s 360° protection system: an in-house, Made in Italy TPU anti-shock solution that protects the movement from extreme environmental stress while keeping the watch lightweight. The Alchemical Sun 8mm screw-down crown, screw-down caseback, and high-quality gasket set ensure water resistance individually tested to 300m / 1000ft / 30atm.

The dial design draws inspiration from the visual language of the Natural Selection Tour itself. NST’s triangular symbol represents the relationship between the athlete, nature, and the knowledge gained from that connection in the mountains. The mark also traces its origin to the three founding locations of the tour, with the center void symbolizing the champions crowned through competition.


Rather than simply placing the logo on the dial, the design integrates the geometry of that symbol into the structure of the watch face. Subtle triangular forms and intersecting lines echo the terrain and natural routes riders seek out in the backcountry. The result is a dial that quietly reflects the ethos of Natural Selection while remaining true to Unimatic’s minimalist design language.

Measuring 38mm in diameter with a 47.5mm lug-to-lug profile, a 29mm case opening, and a thickness of 12.7mm without the lens and 15.7mm with the lens, the Modello Due Toolwatch ref. UT2-NST offers a compact yet substantial presence on the wrist. Featuring drilled lugs and a 22mm strap size, each piece comes fitted with a black nylon two-piece strap with sandblasted hardware signed UNIMATIC and is delivered with an additional strap kit that expands the watch’s versatility across different settings and conditions.


Alongside the standard black strap, the kit includes the same configuration in white, cool grey, alpine blue, and international orange, extending the watch’s visual language through a palette inspired by the diverse terrains and disciplines of Natural Selection.


The screw-down caseback bears the exclusive Rocky Mountains Watches × Natural Selection marking and identifies each watch as part of a strictly limited, individually numbered edition of 100 pieces. The Modello Due Toolwatch ref. UT2-NST is delivered with a UNIMATIC travel pouch and a warranty card featuring a unique ID seal.
